Finding out the square of a number, that too if it exceeds two digits is often a tedious task. However, we do not need to worry if the number, containing any number of digits ends with a 5. Here is the reason: There is a trick mentioned in the first sutra of Vedic maths – ‘Ekādhikena Pūrveṇa’ which means ‘one more than the previous one.’ It has many applications, but a very useful one is squaring numbers ending in 5.  Till we reach the end of this blog, we shall also derive some other logics using the same trick. Let us take the example – 15 as we know, its square is 225. We shall solve it using the trick.   Just combine them without addition, or any other operation . Aranyani is the Goddess of the forest and the mother and The Protector of the animals in the forest, whose name comes from the word ‘Aranya’ meaning forest in Sanskrit. The forests have always been at the centre of the Indian civilization. As we all know, that the evolution of the civilizations started from the forest and, our Vedas tell us that this culture of forest or the Aranya Sanskriti was a result of conscious choice and not imposed due to the primitiveness. Due to this choice, the humankind was connected to the Mother Nature and our Vedas mention about the learnings from the study of forest. But, as the evolution progressed, and urbanization started, we started moving away from the forest and the nature so much that we began destroying forest to bring up large concrete structures. Thus, began the era of self-destruction of the mankind. प्रकृति ; रक्षति रक्षिता - If you protect the nature, the nature would protect you; but we were determined to destroy our own protector! Ther
